Fifty copies were printed by Mrs Garrioch, from the copy made with a cyclostyle by E.S. Brewer (Pilling, Bibliography of the Algonquian languages , 562). The cyclostyle, invented by David Gestetner in 1881, was a form of stencil duplicator. It involved writing on the stencil with a pen with a miniature toothed wheel on the end. It was particularly useful for images.
