Pilling describes the 1851 edition as "A rough print, evidently struck off at the mssion press, and probably prepared as 'copy' for an edition to be printed by the British and Foreign Bible Society…" (Pilling, Bibliography of the Algonquian languages , 338). Also published, according to Pilling, York Factory: s.n., 1856 and s.l.: Rossville Mission Press, 1857 (75p.). Actually found in library catalogues, [Norway House, NWT]: Rossville Mission Press, 1857] ([52] leaves). Murdoch attributes translation of 1857 edition to James Evans and John Sinclair (John Murdoch, A bibliography of Algonquian syllabic texts in Canadian repositories , 010C).
