Peel 651

Sister of Charity of Montreal [pseud.&]. Notes and sketches collected from a voyage in the North-West for the furtherance of a charitable object. Montreal: F. Callahan, book and job printer, 1875.
Physical description: 23 p.; 21.5 cm.
Language: English
The author was in charge of a party of Grey Nuns sent out in April 1871 to the missions and hospitals of the order in the West. She travelled as far as Lac La Biche and Île-à-la-Crosse before returning to the East in 1872. From the preface: "May these few notes thus gathered together midst the fatigues of a hurried trip, be favorably received by the public, excite the sympathy of generous and devoted hearts, and incline them to bestow alms which would serve as a foundation, and, to a great extent, secure the happy future of these missions."
