Edmonds, Walter Everard (1875-1966.)
1875-1966. To Alberta to teach at Mountain View, 1896; joined gold rush to Klondike via Edmonton, but forced to turn back, 1898; graduated in theology from St John's College, Winnipeg, 1902; first Anglican clergyman stationed in Saskatoon, 1902-1904; after a year in England took charge of Anglican church, Gladstone, Manitoba, 1905-1907; high school principal in Gladstone, 1907-1910; newspaper work, 1911-1913; moved to Edmonton, 1912; special lecturer at University of Alberta, 1915; rector of St John's, Edmonton, 1913-1931; history teacher at Strathcona High School, 1916-1943; for many years secretary of Historical Society of Alberta (Edmonton Journal, March 4, 1949; Canadian who's who, 1938-1939).
