Irwin, John Langhorne (1883-1956.)
1883-1956. Born in India; to Canada as a young man; overseas in First World War; lived at Daysland, Saskatchewan, 1916-1921; entered Alberta civil service, first as director of publicity, and later in Department of Mines and Minerals, 1921-1946; editor of Canadian oil journal, 1951-1956; brother of Margaret Irwin, English historical novelist (Edmonton Journal, April 6, 1956).
