McAra, Peter (1862-1949.)
1862-1949. Born in India; to western Canada with his family, 1883; family homesteaded near Craven; opened insurance office in Regina, 1896; mayor of Regina, 1906-1907, 1911-1912; served as president of Regina Board of Trade; chairman of the collegiate board, 1907-1919; one of the founders of Saskatchewan Anti-Tuberculosis League, and its president for more than 30 years (Who's who in western Canada; Who's who in Canada, 1947-1948).
