Tuttle, Charles Richard (1848-1918.)
1848-1918. Born in Nova Scotia; teacher and journalist; went to Winnipeg and founded the Daily Times, 1879; census commissioner for Manitoba, 1881; accompanied expedition to Hudson Bay, 1884; removed to Chicago thereafter, and later to Seattle (Robertson, A political manual of the province of Manitoba; Begg, Ten years in Winnipeg; Wallace, Dictionary of Canadian biography).
