Description: Scene of a ranch near Edmonton, Alberta with cattle grazing in the foreground and ranch buildings, ranchers and horse-and-carriages in the background.
To: Mrs. W.E. Clifford
From: Caroline
Address: 19 Harris Ave., La Grange, Ill., U.S.A.
Message: My dear Mater: We got here at midnight last night and found your letter which I was glad to get. If Gene can finish his work in time to catch the train back to Calgary tonight, we will be up late again tonight. Otherwise we will spend Sunday here & leave in the afternoon for Calgary to reach there at midnight & take the train west at 6a.m. Monday anyway. I have not been out to see Edmonton yet, but am going when I finish writing. We are a thousand miles north of Denver & a little west. This the furthest north either of us will ever get probably. The weather is perfect but a man in the bus said it was 62 [degrees] below when he was here last winter. Lovingly Caroline.
