- On Back: "York boat, Taking its name from York Factory, the great depot on Hudson Bay, the York or inland boat could carry much more cargo than a large canoe. It was propelled by sweeps and a sail, and was used on the great waterways from James Bay to the Mackenzie Delta for 130 years."
