After the preface there follow 132 pages on the history of the fur trade in the North West. Some authorities think this was written by his cousin, Roderick MacKenzie. According to the Dictionary of National Biography , Voyages , 1801, was compiled by William Combe from Mackenzie's notes. Includes vocabularies of the Knisteneaux, Algonquin, Chepewyan, Nagailer, and Atnah Indian languages. Errors in paging: page ix numbered xi; page 190 unnumbered; pages 212-216 numbered 214-218.
